When photographer Terrence Jennings sends us his amazing photographs of New York City concerts, nightlife and street culture, we generally put them in our photo gallery section and let the photos speak for themselves. But when Terrence recently got the unique opportunity from PR powerhouse Lisa Sorenson to follow tennis star Venus Williams on the launch of the tour for Venus’ new book  “Come to Win”,  we took a look at the photos and saw something more compelling than just a gallery.

What we noticed throughout the 60 or so photos we reviewed was a story unfolding not of a celebrity athlete hawking a new project but of a businesswoman hustling through what seemed to be a very exhausting day – in an out of cars, outfit changes, autographs, glad-handing, offering inspiring words of wisdom to little girls, giving speeches, doing television appearances and interviews, facing paparazzi – and we were left with the impression of someone who at the end of the day held up beautifully, with a level of grace and style befitting her champion status.

These are but a few of the photos from the shoot.
